Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg Is World’s 52nd Richest Man With $13.5 Billion Net Worth



With a total net worth of $13.5 billion, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, aged 26, is not only the youngest billionaire, but also the 52nd richest person in the world, according to Forbes’ latest list of world’s billionaires (for 2011).
Zuckerberg’s fortune is up more than two-fold since last year, from about $4 in 2010 to an estimated $13.5 billion today. He’s also the #19 richest man in the U.S., and ranked 40th among the most powerful people in the world.
Not to mention, the list begins with Mexican business magnate and telecom tycoon, Carlos Slim Helu (& family), with an estimated net worth of $74 billion, up from $53.5 billion in 2010.
Even after having given away $33 billion to his foundation, Microsoft founder Bill Gates still ranks at No.2, with a combined net worth of $56 billion; closely followed by another philanthropist, Warren Buffett at No.3 ($50 billion).
FYI, the combined wealth of the world’s 1,211 (listed / known) billionaires is about $4.5 trillion. 108 of the 214 new names in the billionaire’s list, are from India, China, Russia and Brazil.
